I have been thinking about this question for a while and coming across this video below has prompted me to put fingers to keyboard. In the Nigerian community, adoption is seen in a negative light, as an option for those that are unable to have their own children. Watch the video to understand better.
Adoption, in my opinion, is the greatest form of love; to choose to nurture, care and provide for a child that is not biologically yours is awe-inspiring.
So should a person that chooses to extend love to a child that is not their own for whatever reason be looked down on? Pitied? Or encouraged? I know what I think but would love to hear what you think...
