Happy Hater Day!

Today is International Hater day. Okay it's not, but today; make it a duty to do something nice for those that hate you and for those that perhaps you can't stand. It's very easy loving those who love you, but greatness lies in being kind to those who detest you. I know it's easier said than done, so have a listen to the song below for  some inspiration.
" Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which spitefully use you" (Luke 6:28)

"By this shall all men know that you are my disciples,if you have love one to another."(John 13:35)

He is watching!

Today at work, when my colleagues and I realised that we were being monitored by a senior member of staff, our attitudes changed. Suddenly we started paying careful attention to detail, and although our comportment towards the children and parents are always professional, today was exceptional. You know, that same thing that happens when you look in your rear view mirror and you see a police car, you instantly become 'best driver of the year.' As the assistant head sat in the corner quietly observing and annotating, I just imagined her to be God. God watching me as I interact daily, taking notes on what I am doing well, and perhaps what needs improving. It is so easy to forget that He is ever present. What would you stop or start doing forthwith; if it dawned on you that your eyes are not the only pair when you are alone?

Pastor in Texas Bans Women from Wearing Weave in Church

A pastor bans women from wearing weaves in his church.

Pastor A.J Aamir, of Resurrecting Faith in Waco,Texas believes ladies who wear weaves appear to have  low self esteem and are displaying fake images.
In his interview with AmericanPreachers.com  he stated that: “Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I’m saying.”

Pastor Aamir went on to say:
“I don’t want my members to be focused on what’s on their heads and not what's IN their heads”

In this day and age where people are having serious money problems, Pastor Aamir cannot understand why young women, especially mothers in his church would spend hundreds of dollars on weaves. That being said, he respects the fact that he cannot legally keep the female members of his congregation from wearing weave-ons, although he bitterly disapproves of it and would love to impose a ban.

I understand where he is coming from but I do not quite see how biblical this is,and where would we then draw the line. What about women with fake breasts, nails, eyelashes, even high heels? Do we ban all these from attending church? Because if we do then who would be left?
The more people attend church and hear the undiluted word, the more their life would change according to the pace God desires for them.

Do you agree with the pastor's decision?
Do you think women who wear weave have some form of low self esteem compared to the 'natural' sisters?
