Pastor A.J Aamir, of Resurrecting Faith in Waco,Texas believes ladies who wear weaves appear to have low self esteem and are displaying fake images.
In his interview with AmericanPreachers.com he stated that: “Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I’m saying.”
Pastor Aamir went on to say:
“I don’t want my members to be focused on what’s on their heads and not what's IN their heads”
In this day and age where people are having serious I understand where he is coming from but I do not quite see how biblical this is,and where would we then draw the line. What about women with fake breasts, nails, eyelashes, even high heels? Do we ban all these from attending church? Because if we do then who would be left?
The more people attend church and hear the undiluted word, the more their life would change according to the pace God desires for them.
Do you agree with the pastor's decision?
Do you think women who wear weave have some form of low self esteem compared to the 'natural' sisters?
