2016-So far,so good?

16 days into the new year already?! Wow. Time sure does fly. How is the year going for you?  Are you still sticking to the resolutions or are they already out of the window?
For me, I needed to start off the year by 'unplugging' from everything and spend some time reconnecting with myself. In order to have the tunnel vision required- I decided to stay off all social media and only replied to important messages.

Here is what I have learned in those few days(I pray it stays with me through out this year and beyond).
1, I am sure you have heard of the saying that 'not everybody that smiles with you is your friend' but I now know that not everybody that frowns at you is your enemy. Cherish those people that love you enough to be truthful, respect you enough to show they disagree with you and are genuine enough to show it.

2,People are watching- I was surprised at the people that reached out to me whilst I have been 'silent' on social media. The messages I received ranged from greetings, to motivation and encouragement. 'Don't give up.' 'I love your spirit.' 'Hope you are well'. Words are not enough to appreciate those that reached out to me; a massive thank you for allowing the God in you to minister to the God in me.

3, Leading from lesson number 2... It's not about the 'likes' and 'comments', you are inspiring at least one person out there without knowing.

4, Quitters never win, but  sometimes in order to win it is essential that you quit. For instance, quitting bad habits, quitting toxic relationships, quitting negative self talk, quitting fruitless ventures in order to focus all the fruitful areas of your life/business.

5,To the world you are one person, but to your child/children you're the world.  So it is important to consider them with all the decisions you make. Make their world beautiful and fill it with love.

6. Never go against your 'gut feeling'-  I made a decision early this year against my gut feeling and I can say I have definitely learned that lesson the hard way.

Here is to a great year 2016 for us all.
